2017 Subaru Forester Tires

The 2017 Subaru Forester is a CUV that comes with a standard all-wheel-drive and can comfortably accommodate up to five passengers. Boasting up to 24 miles per gallon in the city and up to 32 miles per gallon on the highway, 2017 Subaru Forester tires could be 225/55R18 or 225/60R17, and a brand new version likely left the factory with a set of Bridgestone Dueler H/L 400 or Yokohama Geolandar G91F tires attached.

HORRIBLE for snow and even worse on ice.

I bought these because my other choices were out of stock. I based it off of the good reviews but they are THE WORST snow tires I've ever had and I have a subaru. Apparently no one leaving reviews have ever used a quality snow tire? I slide going straight down road with a dusting of snow! Normally I can drive at regular speeds, stop, and accelerate like I'm on dry pavement. These cause more sliding than my summer tires. The only good part is that they're light and don't kill my gas mileage like others have. Nexen says they will return tires if you hate them within 500 miles, but they will not. So the company itself is equally unimpressive. I will be taking these off and replacing with my old go to the sumitomo ice edges. Out the money but will be worth it to stay on the road! Highly do not recommend these.

I put these on my 2017 Subaru Forester and went up one ratio to 225/65r17 from 225/60r17. They definitely make more noise than the all-seasons they replaced but it's really not much. There's a faint hum at about 40 and then at hw speeds it's really not noticeable for whatever reason (maybe bc the car isn't *super* quiet and it blends in, or maybe sound waves tend to specifically resonate at around 40 with this size lug ????). Anyway, they feel confident and don't feel any less so when roads are wet. These being heavier and slightly larger than the tires they replaced, I definitely notice a few differences. The extra cushion helps with New Orleans pot holes, but the extra unsprung weight also sends more of a jolt on large bumps. That extra weight and size also confuses my CVT a little bit and the reduced gearing due to the increased diameter makes for slightly slower acceleration. These little gripes wouldn't be noticeable to 90% of drivers, and overall I love how the tires feel. Very grippy and quiet and the added 0.5" of clearance looks nice.
